Stefan König is German Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney as well as European Trademark and Design Attorney, and holds a diploma in „Patent Litigation in Europe“ of the University of Strasbourg. He has been working in the field of intellectual property law since 2003, and has been with Samson & Partner since 2023.

Stefan König holds a university diploma (Dipl.-Ing. Univ.) in electrical and information engineering. In his studies at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) he focused on information and communication technology, particularly communication networks. He elaborated his diploma thesis during a research scholarship at the University of Colorado at Boulder, USA, on the subject „Self-Configuring Indoor Location Detection in Wireless Sensor Networks“.

In the field of intellectual property law he advises and represents clients especially in terms of technical property rights, including standard-essential patents, in examination, opposition, nullity and infringement proceedings. His technical focus areas include information and communication technology, particularly mobile communications, as well as data, signal and image processing, control engineering, and software- and computer-related inventions. A special interest is in the field of new technologies like the Internet-of-Things and Artificial Intelligence.
