Dr. Robert Baier is a German Patent Attorney, a European Patent Attorney and a European Trademark and Design Attorney who has worked in intellectual property protection since 2013.
His technical background is in the study of physics at Julius-Maximilians-Universität of Würzburg, Rutgers University of New Jersey, USA, and Freie Universität of Berlin. He holds a Master of Science degree from Rutgers University as well as a Ph.D. in physics from Freie Universität of Berlin; he conducted his Ph.D. work at the Helmholtz-Centre Berlin for Materials and Energy (HZB). During his technical education he gained significant experience i.a. in the fields of semiconductor physics, surface science, and scanning probe microscopy.
His fields of technical expertise in intellectual property rights comprise i.a. applied physics, in particular semiconductor physics, telecommunications and computer-implemented inventions (software).
