Dr Maximilian Schmitter, Austrian citizen, studied Engineering Sciences at the Leopold-Franzens University of Innsbruck.
In his master thesis he worked on implementations of pyhsic-based processes in machine learning.
During his PhD, he taught as a university assistant at the Department of Applied Mechanics and worked on measurement technology, electrodynamics and high-performance computing.
He completed his PhD in the field of pyhsical modelling and numerical optimization of non-linear and dynamic interaction systems and participated as co-inventor in patent applications.
He was then employed as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Continuum and Materials Mechanics at the University of Technology Hamburg, where he conducted research on tailormaid multiscale materials systems.
His main technical areas comprise mechanics, high-performance computing, electrodynamics, high-performance computing and artificial intelligence.
