Alexander Münster-Horstkotte is German Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney as well as European Trademark and Design Attorney. He works in the area of intellectual property protection since 2007.
He holds a degree in computer science from the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich. He specialised in technical computer science and operations research. In his thesis, he explored real-time extensions for the operating system LINUX. Furthermore, he has graduated in law within the bachelor-master program at the Distance University in Hagen. His master thesis, which was awarded with the Distance University's sponsorship award, was directed to the division of patent infringement and nullity proceedings in Germany.
Alexander Münster-Horstkotte has been project manager of an international team with members from Germany, USA and France for more than three years and has, inter alia, worked at locations as Boston (USA), Norfolk (USA) and Paris (France). Moreover, he has worked as an instructor in the training of network administrators. He gained experience in the areas of computer simulation, network and database technology and IT security.
In the field of intellectual property, his main areas are information and communication technology, IT security technology, printing technology and software-related inventions.
